DONALD E. COOKE

Don Cooke is a Senior Vice President of Hays Companies, with over 40 years of insurance experience including all aspects of program design, marketing and maintenance of clients' programs as well as the day-to-day consultations. Don’s career in insurance began as the casualty manager for a large public utility. He was subsequently the Risk Manager for the Union Pacific Railroad and then Carlson Companies before joining Johnson & Higgins, a large privately held international insurance brokerage firm in 1981. While at Johnson & Higgins Don Cooke managed the aviation department and large risks for over 20 years.  Don has been a great ambassador and supporter of the ABC for over 33 years. After joining the Brokers Committee, he encouraged Hays Companies to support and develop a new concept for ABC - the U.S. Portal. The Portal has gone from drawing board to reality with many inquiries and quotes leading to monthly declarations. We sincerely thank Don for his enthusiasm and contributions to ABC.
