Recognition Award

JEFFREY BRELAND

ABC recognized Jeff Breland of The Boeing Company with the Aerospace Industry Achievement Award at its September 2022 Annual Conference in Boston. Jeff works tirelessly for the betterment of the aerospace industry and the furtherance of our professions. His thoughtful leadership around the Space Launch System, AFIC, and his body of work, both commercially and insurance related, is to be applauded. The industry owes a great deal to him when it comes to many key contractual risk provisions (e.g. disclaimers, warranties, indemnifications) contained in many of our industries agreements today. 

Jeff is a true leader and has mentored many colleagues over the years. He is passionate about Aviation & Space, our community, and the difference making ability our industry contributes the world over. He has worked for Boeing for 31 years holding a number of roles. Prior to joining the Risk Management and Insurance Division, he worked in Contracts and Procurement as a “Head Buyer.” Today, he is a Director of Contractual Risk Management and Insurance with the ability to partner, command and pioneer evolving legal concepts in commercial space, government FAR protections and foreign military sales.
